Grinders/Redhawks Free Workouts

PLEASE NOTE DATES,TIMES & LOCATIONS PER AGE GROUP!

Grinders Baseball will have free workouts for the upcoming travel ball season. Grinders have an organizational schedule and practice plan that will be unparalleled to any other program in the Valley. Our indoor facility has 3 indoor cages, 3 Hack Attack Jr. pitching machines and the ultimate fielding tool-The Fungoman.

Grinders/Redhawks have their own hitting warehouse with 3 cages with Hack Attack Machines. Fields have been secured for the year. We have the ultimate training tool…The Fungoman…not just one but two Fungoman machines. USA Baseball recently used for their evaluation tool to grade players at West Championships 17u,15u and 14u here in AZ.

Kelly Stinnett-He attended Seminole Junior College in Oklahoma, where in his freshman year he was All-Conference and All-Region after leading all junior college players with 30 home runs and 124 RBI. In his sophomore year, he was National Junior College Player of the Year and a first-team All-American. That year, he had a batting average of .399 and had 22 home runs and 97 RBI. Drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 11th round of the 1989 amateur draft. After college. Kelly played all or part of 14 seasons in the majors, from 1994 until 2007 for New York Mets (1994–1995) Milwaukee Brewers (1996–1997) Arizona Diamondbacks (1998–2000) Cincinnati Reds (2001–2003) Philadelphia Phillies (2003) Kansas City Royals (2004) Arizona Diamondbacks (2005) New York Yankees (2006) New York Mets (2006) St. Louis Cardinals (2007),

Kelly will be overseeing 8/9U to 13U teams. Grinders will have a developmental program for players new to travel ball or players needing to improve their game until they are ready for the competitive level.

Kelly was recently named CalPac Coach of the year after leading the Redhawks to a 36-17 record at Benedictine University-Mesa.

 

Mike Remlinger   A Dartmouth College graduate, Remlinger led the nation with a 1.59 ERA during his sophomore season. He was selected by the Giants with the 16th pick of the first round in the 1987 amateur draft. In a 16-season career, Remlinger compiled a 53-54 record with a 3.89 ERA and 20 saves in 634 games. He made the National League All-Star team in 2002.

Mike will be managing the High School players (15U to 18U) and work with all pitchers in the organization. We will have up to 3 teams at these ages.

Mike is also Seton Catholic High School pitching coach.

 

Lyndon Estill-Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 35th round of the 2005 MLB June Amateur Draft from Sammamish HS (Bellevue, WA) and the Chicago White Sox in the 8th round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft from Lower Columbia College (Longview, WA). Rated Best Athlete in the Chicago White Sox system after the 2007 season.

Lyndon oversees all hitting and scheduling at our indoor facility.
