High School Developmental Team

Buccaneers Developmental Baseball will have a High School Baseball team that runs parallel with the High School Baseball season. We started the program in 2011 and have had a handful of kids that participated in the program go on to play at the college level. There will be a meeting February 10th at Noon at our indoor cages in Mesa for those interested.

Grinders Cages

40 W Baseline Suite 110

Mesa AZ 85210

We’ll hit and field from Noon to 2pm. Bring all baseball gear.

Kelly Stinnett will be overseeing the Bucs high school developmental program. All 14U to 18U players cut or don’t want to play high school baseball are invited out to participate in practice and games parallel to the high school season. Our coaches relate very well to kids wanting to develop their game and take a great deal of pride in teaching the basics of the game. We started the program in 2011 under Grinders Developmental team. The program will be under Buccaneers Baseball and will be monitored by Kelly and his staff.

Kelly is the current head baseball coach at Park University-Gilbert and former 14-year MLB player. Kelly led the Benedictine University-Mesa to 76 wins the past 2 years and a top 25 ranking in the Perfect Game pre-season rankings for the 2019 season. He now has the task of starting a new NAIA baseball program in Gilbert that will begin Spring of 2020.
